MIXed Dal Fry

A healthy, humble dal fry for days that you want to feel light yet nutritious. A very simple preparation served with rice, jeera rice or roti.

1/4 cup – Toor dal
1/4 cup – masoor dal
1/4 cup – channa dal
1/4 cup – moong dal
5 no – Garlic cloves
1 tbsp – Red Chilly powder
1 tsp – coriander powder
1 tsp – Amchoor powder
1 tsp – Turmeric
2 no – Red Chilly
1 tsp – Jeera
Salt to taste
1 inch – Cinnamon
1 no – Clove
1 no – elaichi
1 tbsp – Ghee
1/4 cup – Chopped coriander leaves

1 tsp – Ghee
1 tsp -Jeera
2 no – Red Chiilies

Dry roast cinnamon, clove and elaichi and powder them.
Wash all the dals and add 5 garlic cloves and pressure cook it.

Take ghee in a pan. Add jeera to it. When it turns brown, add redchilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric and salt and roast it for couple of seconds. Add the pressure cooked dal to this and mix it wel whole mashing the dal using the back of the spoon. To this add salt, amchoor powder and the cinnamon powder mix. Add 2 cups of water and let it simmer over low heat till it becomes creamy in consistency

In a small pan take ghee, add a tsp of jeera, redchillies. Let it brown and pour it over the cooked dal and garnish it with chopped coriander.20140710-050528 pm-61528912.jpg
